Layth ibn Sa‘d narrated to us, from Khālid ibn Yazīd, from Sa‘īd ibn Abī Hilāl, from Hafs ibn Umar, who had been informed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Urwa ibn Mas‘ūd, “O Urwa, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, loves the one who is slow of speech, modest, chaste, and self-restrained; and He detests the foul-mouthed, obscene, importunate beggar.”
