71 — Ibrāhīm ibn Rāshid narrated to me. He said: “Muslim ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us. He said: ‘Awn ibn ‘Amr al-Qaysī, the brother of Riyāh, narrated to us. He said: Sa‘īd al-Jurayrī narrated to us, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Burayda, from Yahyā ibn Ya‘mur, from Jarīr ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Bajalī, who reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered one of his homes, and it became full. Jarīr then arrived and sat outside the door. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took his garment, folded it, tossed it to him, and said, “Sit on this.” Jarīr took it, placed it against his face, kissed it, and said, “May Allah honor you, O Messenger of Allah, just as you have honored me.” He (peace and blessings be upon him) then said, “When a nobleman of a people comes to you, honor him.”’”
