70 — Hārūn ibn Sufyān narrated to me. He said: “Yahyā ibn Ghaylān narrated to us, from Ya‘qūb ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmān ibn ‘Abd al-Qārī, who said: ‘I heard ‘Abd al-‘Azīz ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb. He had heard one man say to another, “Pay me what you owe me, you pauper!” whereupon he remarked, “This is the affliction of noble men.”’”
