64 — Abū Ja'far al-Kindī narrated to me. He said: Muhammad ibn Bakr al-Sa'dī narrated to us, from al-Haytham ibn Jammāz, from Yahyā ibn Abī Kathīr, who said: “It used to be said: People honor themselves through nothing so much as obedience to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and they debase themselves through nothing so much as disobedience to Allah, Mighty and Majestic.”
