5 — Muhammad ibn al-Rabī, Abū Abd al-Rahmān al-Asadī, narrated to me: Abd al-Rahīm ibn Zayd—that is, al-Ammī—narrated to us, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Kab al-Qurazī, from Ibn Abbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “Whoever wishes to be the noblest of people should fear Allah—majestic and exalted is He. Whoever wishes to be the strongest of people should place his trust in Allah—majestic and exalted is He. And whoever wishes to be the richest of people should trust more in what is in Allah’s hands than in what is in his own hands.”
