474 — Ziyād said to me, “Do not let anyone else share in the favor I bestow upon you. If I give to you, I will make my gift pleasant for you; and if I refuse you, I will do so graciously and keep another need of yours in mind.”
٤٧٤ - وَقَالَ لِي زِيَادٌ: «لَا تُشْرِكْ فِي مَعْرُوفِي غَيْرِي، فَإِنِّي إِنْ أَعْطَيْتُكَ هَنَّأْتُكَ، وَإِنْ مَنَعْتُكَ أَحْسَنْتُ الْمَنْعَ، وَأَرْصَدْتُ لَكَ حَاجَةً أُخْرَى»
