49 — Abū Abdillāh al-Tamīmī recited to me:
[Long meter]
“By your life, the days are nothing but a loan;
so take as provision whatever good you can from them.”
٤٩ - أَنْشَدَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ التَّمِيمِيُّ: «
[البحر الطويل]
لَعَمْرُكَ مَا الْأَيَّامُ إِلَّا مُعَارَةٌ ... فَمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ مِنْ مَعْرُوفِهَا فَتَزَوَّدِ»
