440 — Abū Zayd also related to us: Abū Āsim related to us, saying: My father informed me, saying:

“Abd al-Ala collected his stipend while wearing a bordered cloak, accompanied by a servant of his. He turned aside to the house of a woman from Banū Ghudāna and urinated there. He then said, ‘Boy, give her our stipend.’

She said, ‘And the cloak as well—may Allah make me your ransom?’

He replied, ‘And the cloak.’”
