421 — Ibrāhīm ibn Sa‘īd narrated to me: Abū Nu‘aym narrated to us, from Qays, from Abū Hasīn, that:
“‘Uthmān—may Allah be pleased with him—granted al-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwām—may Allah be pleased with him—six hundred thousand. Al-Zubayr then passed by his maternal kinsmen, the Banū Kāhil, and asked, ‘Which money is of the finest quality?’ They replied, ‘The money of Isfahan.’ He said, ‘Give me some of the money of Isfahan.’”
