395 — Yūsuf ibn Mūsā narrated to us. He said: Yaʿlā ibn Ubayd narrated to us. He said: Muhammad ibn Ishāq narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah, from Ibn Abbās, who said: “The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—would recite the Quran to Gabriel—peace be upon him—every Ramadan. When morning came after a night in which he had recited it to him, the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—would be more generous than the wind sent forth. He was never asked for anything without giving it.”
