393 — Ahmad ibn Jamīl al-Marwazī narrated to us. He said: Abd Allah ibn al-Mubārak narrated to us. He said: Yūnus narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, who said: Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah informed me, from Ibn Abbās, who said: “The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—was the most generous of people, and he was at his most generous during Ramadan, when Gabriel met him. Gabriel—peace be upon him—would meet him every night of Ramadan and review the Quran with him. The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—was more generous in doing good than the wind sent forth.”

394 — Abu Khaythama narrated to us. Uthmān ibn Umar narrated to us. Yūnus narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah, from Ibn Abbās, who narrated a similar report.
