388 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me. He said: Abd Allah ibn Bakr al-Sahmī narrated to us. He said: Humayd narrated to us, from Mūsā ibn Anas, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: “Rarely was the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—asked for any worldly thing for the sake of Islam without giving it.” A man then asked him, “so he ordered that he be given a flock of sheep between two mountains.” The man returned to his people and said, “O my people, embrace Islam, for Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—gives without fearing poverty.”
