386 — Mansūr ibn Abī Muzāhim narrated to us. He said: Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah, from Ibn Abbās, who said: “The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—was the most generous of people, and he was at his most generous during the month of Ramadan. Gabriel—peace be upon him—would meet him every night in Ramadan until the month came to an end, and the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—would recite the Quran to him. Whenever Gabriel—peace be upon him—met him, he was more generous in doing good than the wind sent forth.”
