379 — Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ayyūb narrated to us. He said: Ibrāhīm ibn Sad narrated to us, from Sālih ibn Kaysān, from Ibn Shihāb, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mutim, from his father, who said: “The Bedouins crowded around the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—making requests of him as he returned from Hunayn, until they forced him against a large tree, which snagged his cloak. He said, ‘Return my cloak to me! By Him in whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, if I had as many camels as there are thorn trees here, I would distribute them among you. You would not find me to be a liar, a coward, or a miser.’”
