40 — Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Bassām narrated to me: Āmir ibn Yasāf narrated to us, on the authority of Hawshab, on the authority of al-Hasan, who said, “O son of Adam, treat people with the noblest of your qualities, for your time among them is brief.”
