352 — Abū Zayd al-Numayrī informed me: Ayyūb ibn Umar ibn Abī Amr informed me, saying: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Farawī informed me, saying: Abd Allah ibn Āmir ibn Kurayz purchased from Khālid ibn Uqba ibn Abī Muayt his house in the marketplace, so that he could open a gate through it onto the market, for eighty or ninety thousand. When night fell, he heard weeping and asked his household, “Why are these people weeping?” They replied, “Over their house.” He said, “Servant, go to them and let them know that both the house and the money are theirs.”
