344 — Abū Hafs al-Saffār narrated to us: Ja‘far ibn Sulaymān narrated to us: Asmā’ ibn ‘Ubayd narrated to us: Ā’idh ibn Amr al-Muzanī said: “I would rather have my washbasin emptied in my private chamber than have it emptied onto the Muslims’ road.” No water from his house—not even rainwater—would flow out onto the road. He said: “It was then seen in a dream that he was one of the people of Paradise.” It was asked, “For what reason?” The reply came: “Because he spared the Muslims his harm.”
