336 — ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us: Shuʿba informed me, from Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī, who said: I heard Talha narrate from ʿĀʾisha—may Allah be pleased with her—that she said: “I asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I have two neighbors. To which of them should I give a gift?’ He replied, ‘To the one whose door is nearer to yours.’”
