311 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn related to me. Ishāq ibn Mansūr related to me. Huraym ibn Sufyān related to us. He said:

“Amr ibn Qays al-Mulāʾī used to pass by us every Friday carrying a gift, which he would take to the home of Mansūr ibn al-Mutamir.”

He said, “He continued doing so for as long as Allah willed after Mansūr’s death, and persisted in it until he himself died.” He added, “I later learned that, after Amr died, his family continued to care for Mansūr’s household in much the same way.”
