303 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn related to me. He said: Al-Fadl ibn Dukayn related to us. Abū Khalda related to us. He said: Abd Allah ibn Awn and I visited Muhammad ibn Sirīn. He welcomed us and said, “I do not know what special treat to offer you. Each of you has bread and meat in his own home, but I shall give you something that I do not believe you have in your homes.” He then brought a honeycomb, which he cut with a knife and fed to us morsel by morsel.
