295 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to me: Yahyā ibn Abī Bukayr narrated to us, from Abbād ibn al-Walīd al-Qurashī, who said: Whenever al-Hasan noticed that one of his brethren was absent, he would visit him, greet him, and ask about his circumstances. As he was leaving, he would summon the maidservant and give her a purse containing dirhams, saying, “Give this to your mistress and tell her, ‘Use it for your expenses, but do not let your master know about it.’”
