294 — Muhammad narrated to me: Muhammad ibn al-Qāsim al-Asadī narrated to us: al-Fadl ibn Dalham narrated to us, saying: Whenever al-Hasan noticed that one of his brethren was absent, he would go to his home. If the man was away, he would provide for his family and dependents; if he was present, he would ask about his affairs and circumstances. He would then summon some of the man’s younger children, give them dirhams, and bestow gifts upon them. He would say, “O Abū So-and-so, children delight in such things.”
