283 — Ibn Jamīl narrated to us: Abd Allah narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Alā ibn al-Musayyib, who said: “Khaythamah used to carry purses with him. He was well-to-do and would sit in the mosque; whenever he saw one of his companions wearing shabby clothes, he would stop him and give him one.”
