231 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī al-Nadr narrated to us: Abū al-Nadr narrated to us, from al-Ashjaʿī, who said: “Misʿar’s mother asked him for some water during the night. He rose and brought it to her, but she had fallen asleep. He did not wish to leave, lest she ask for it and not find it, nor did he wish to wake her. So he remained standing there with the vessel until morning.”
