226 — Abū Hammām narrated to me: Ibrāhīm ibn Aʿyan narrated to me, from al-Sarī ibn Yahyā, from ʿAbd al-Karīm ibn Rashīd, who said: “Hujr ibn ʿAdī ibn al-Adbar al-Kindī would feel his mother’s bedding with his hand. Distrusting the sensitivity of his coarse hand, he would roll about on the bedding on his back. Once he was satisfied that there was nothing uncomfortable on it, he would lay her down.”
