215 — Al-Hasan ibn Yūsuf ibn Yazīd narrated to us; he said: Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd narrated to us, from Ammār ibn Abd al-Malik, from Bahr al-Saqqā, from al-Hakam ibn Abān, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whenever a dutiful man looks upon his parents—or his mother—with compassion, Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, records that gaze as an accepted and righteous Hajj.” They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, even if he looks one hundred times a day?” He replied, “Allah is greater than that.”
