196 — Abd al-Rahmān ibn Sālih related to us, saying: Yūnus ibn Bukayr related to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, who said:
“When Ali—may Allah be pleased with him—killed Amr, he came toward the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—his face beaming. Umar—may Allah be pleased with him—said to him, ‘Why did you not strip him of his armor? No Arab possesses armor like it.’ He replied, ‘I struck him, and he shielded himself from me with his private parts; so, cousin, I was ashamed to strip him.’”
