180 — Khālid ibn Khidāsh narrated to us; he said: Hātim ibn Ismāīl narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn Mismār, from Āmir ibn Sad, from his father, that on the Day of Uhud the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, “May my father and mother be ransomed for you.” He said:
“One of the polytheists had inflicted heavy losses upon the Muslims, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sad, ‘Shoot! May my father and mother be ransomed for you!’ I drew an arrow that had no arrowhead and struck him in the side. He fell, exposing his private parts, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed until I could see his back teeth.”
