18 — Abd al-Rahmān narrated to us; he said: al-Husayn al-Jufī narrated to us, from Ibn Uyayna, that Ikrima was asked about the words of the Exalted: “And We gave him his reward in this world” [al-Ankabūt: 27]. He said, “I have indeed dived for it in a deep sea. Who are you?” He replied, “Saīd ibn Jubayr.” He said, “You already know.” Then he said, “He preserved favorable praise for him.”
