166 — Muhammad ibn Abbād ibn Mūsā narrated to me, saying: Abū Usāma narrated to us, from Hishām ibn Urwa, from his father, who said: Al-Zubayr fought a man in Mecca while still a boy, shattered his hand, and beat him severely. The man was then carried past Safiyya, who asked, “What happened to him?” They replied, “He fought al-Zubayr.” She then said to him:
“How did you find Zabr?
Did you take him for dried curds or dates—
or for a swift-flying falcon?”
