154 — Alī ibn al-Jad al-Jawharī narrated to us: Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abū Ishāq, from Hāritha ibn Mudarrib, from Alī—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: “Whenever the battle grew fierce and the two sides met, we would seek protection behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and none of us would be closer to the enemy than he was.”
