140 — Ismāīl ibn Khālid narrated to us: Yaʿlā ibn al-Ashdaq narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Jarād narrated to us; he said: Abū al-Dardā said, “O Messenger of Allah, does a believer lie?” He replied, “No. Whoever speaks and lies does not believe in Allah or the Last Day.”
