139 — Ahmad ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us: Abū Bishr Ismāīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us; Rawh ibn al-Qāsim informed me, from Ibrāhīm ibn Maysara, from Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—who said: “No trait was more hateful to the Companions of the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—than lying. If the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—learned that anyone had committed any act of lying, the matter would not leave his mind concerning that person until he knew that the person had repented.”
