132 — Ahmad ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us. Ghassān ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, saying: A man from Quraysh narrated to me, saying: Iyās ibn Muʿāwiya said, “I would not be pleased—even if I told a lie and Allah, majestic is His glory, forgave me for it, and I were given ten thousand dirhams for it—if my father, Muʿāwiya ibn Qurra, knew about it.” He meant that, out of reverence for his father, he would not want him to learn of it.
