115 — Abū Khaythama narrated to us: Jarīr narrated to us, from Mansūr, from Abū Wāʾil, from ʿAbd Allah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to speak the truth until he is recorded as a man of utmost truthfulness. Lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man continues to lie until he is recorded with Allah as an inveterate liar.”
