111 — Muhammad ibn Sulaym wrote to us, informing us that al-Husayn ibn Bistām al-Kūfī, an associate of Abū Bakr ibn Ayyāsh, narrated to them. He said: Bishr ibn Ghālib al-Asadī narrated to me, from al-Zuhrī, from Mujammi ibn so-and-so ibn Jāriya, from his paternal uncle Mujimmi ibn Jāriya, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“Modesty is one of the branches of faith. Whoever has no modesty has no faith. All good is attained only through reason, and whoever has no reason has no religion.”
