97 – The judge Abū al-Qāsim informed us; Abū ʿAlī narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Abū al-Khaṭṭāb Ziyād ibn Yaḥyā al-Baṣrī narrated to us; Mālik ibn Suʿayr narrated to us; al-Aʿmash narrated to me, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever conceals a fellow Muslim’s fault, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the next. Whoever makes things easy for a Muslim, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the next. Allah remains at the servant’s side so long as the servant is at his brother’s side. Whoever is slowed down by his deeds will not be sped forward by his lineage. Whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him of one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever cancels a Muslim’s debt, Allah will cancel his stumble on the Day of Resurrection.”
