57 – The judge Abū al-Qāsim informed us; Abū ʿAlī narrated to us; ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to me; Abū Ibrāhīm al-Tarjumānī narrated to us; and one of the Syrian elders narrated to me that ʿAbdullāh ibn Rawāḥah—or, it may have been Ḥassān ibn Thābit—recited:
We heard our Prophet speak these words—a comfort for all who seek their needs:
“Set out at dawn and ask your wants of him whose face Allah has adorned with morning light.”⦗60⦘
58 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān also recited:

When needs arise, then seek them
From one whose face is fair and beautiful.
Abū Bakr remarked: “Both bada (appeared) and abda (made apparent) are acceptable forms.”
