31 – Qadi Abu al-Qasim informed us; Abu ‘Ali narrated to us; ‘Abd Allah narrated to us; Abu Hafs al-Saffar narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Sawa’ narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Hassan, from Abu al-Jarud, from ‘Atiyyah al-‘Awfi, from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever clothes a believer who is without garments, Allah will clothe him in the silk brocade of Paradise; whoever gives him drink when he is parched, Allah will let him drink of the sealed nectar; and whoever feeds him when he is hungry, Allah will feed him from the fruits of Paradise.”
٣١ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاضِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الصَّفَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ كَسَا مُؤْمِنًا عَلَى عُرْيٍ كَسَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَمَنْ سَقَاهُ عَلَى الظَّمَأِ سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الرَّحِيقِ الْمَخْتُومِ، وَمَنْ أَطْعَمَهُ مِنْ جُوعٍ أَطْعَمَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ ثِمَارِ الْجَنَّةِ»
