Fadail al-Sahabah li-Ahmad ibn HanbalAhmad Ibn Hanbal

97 — ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us: Abū Zayd al-Numayrī, ʿUmar ibn Shabba, narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Yahyā—Abū Ghassān al-Madanī—narrated to me: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿImrān narrated to us, from his father, from ʿUmar ibn Saʿd, from Ibn Shihāb, who said:

“Abū Bakr al-Siddīq was fair-complexioned, slight and compactly built, as though he had emerged from a cleft in a rock. His hipbones were prominent, and his waist-wrapper would not stay in place on his hips.”
