47 — ‘Abdullāh narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz ibn Abī Rizmah, Abū ‘Amr, narrated to us, saying: Abū Mu‘āwiyah informed us, from ‘Āsim, from Abū ‘Uthmān, who used to say:

“By Him who, if He willed this spear of mine to speak, it would speak! Had ‘Umar been a balance, there would not have been a hair’s breadth of deflection in it”—meaning, deviation.
