432 - Abū Abd al-Rahmān said: On the first day I met Musʿab, he asked me: “What is your name?” I replied: “Abd Allāh.” He said: “Several of our companions narrated to me, among them Ibn Zabāla, who said: Ibn Shihāb said:

[The tawīl (long) metre]

‘I said to Abd Allāh when I met him,
Travelling eastward through the higher of the two towns:
Seek out the earth’s hidden treasures and call upon its Sovereign;
Perhaps one day your prayer will be answered and you will be granted provision.’”
