431 - Abd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Musʿab ibn Abd Allāh al-Zubayrī narrated to us, saying: Hishām ibn Abd Allāh ibn Ikrima al-Makhzūmī narrated to us, saying:

I was away from Medina for a time. Then I went to Mālik ibn Anas and greeted him. He asked me: “Where have you been?”

I replied: “I was in the valley of al-Aqīq.”

He said: “That is a valley no one goes to without incurring a loss, and no one returns from without making a gain.”

I said: “Do not say that, Abū Abd Allāh, for Hishām ibn Urwa narrated to me, from his father, from Āʾisha, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Seek provision in the hidden treasures of the earth.’”
