422 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, saying: Sufyān narrated to us, from Khālid ibn ʿAlqamah, from ʿAbd Khayr, who said: I heard ʿAlī say:

“The best of this community is its Prophet, and the best of the people after its Prophet is Abū Bakr, then ʿUmar. Then we did things concerning which Allah will judge as He pleases.”
