420 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Nasr ibn ʿAlī al-Azdī narrated to me, saying: Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal informed us, from Shuʿbah, from Habīb ibn Abī Thābit, from ʿAbd Khayr, who said:
I heard ʿAlī say, “Shall I tell you who are the best of this community after its Prophet? Abū Bakr and ʿUmar.”
٤٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ أنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ: أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا؟ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ.
