406 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Wahb ibn Baqiyyah al-Wāsitī narrated to me, saying: Khālid ibn ʿAbd Allāh informed us, from Bayān, from ʿĀmir, from Abū Juhayfah, who said: ʿAlī ibn Abī Tālib said:
“Shall I not tell you who is the best of this community after its Prophet? Abū Bakr, then ʿUmar, then another man.”
٤٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ: أنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ: أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثُمَّ عُمَرُ، ثُمَّ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ.
