359 — ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Zakariyyā ibn Yahyā ibn Sabīh Zahmawayh narrated to me: Ibrāhīm ibn Sa‘d narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Salama, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“While I was asleep, I was brought a cup of milk. I drank from it until I was so thoroughly quenched that I could see it flowing out through my fingernails. Then I gave what remained to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb.”
Those around him asked, “How did you interpret it, O Messenger of Allah?”
He replied, “I interpreted it as religion.”
