333 — ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us: Yahyā ibn Ayyūb narrated to me: Khalaf ibn Khalīfah narrated to us: I heard Abū Hāshim report from Sa‘īd ibn Jubayr concerning the words of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, “and the righteous among the believers” [al-Tahrīm: 4], that he said:

“This was revealed concerning ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb, may Allah be pleased with him.”
