330 — ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us: ‘Abd Allāh ibn ‘Umar narrated to us: ‘Abd Allāh ibn Khirāsh narrated to us, from al-‘Awwām ibn Hawshab, from Mujāhid, from Ibn ‘Abbās:

When ‘Umar embraced Islam, Gabriel descended and said, “O Muhammad, the inhabitants of heaven have indeed rejoiced at ‘Umar’s acceptance of Islam.”
