261 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us: My father narrated to me: Yūsuf ibn Yaʿqūb al-Mājishūn, Abū Salamah, narrated to us, saying: “I knew our elders and those from whom we learned—including Rabīʿah ibn Abī ʿAbd al-Rahmān, Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, and ʿUthmān ibn Muhammad al-Akhnasī—and they used to say: ‘Abū Bakr was the first of the men to embrace Islam.’”
